Consultancy and Training in Safeguarding
Real Time Education in collaboration with Young Solutions is now able to offer the NCVYS National Quality Assurance Kite Mark for safeguarding called Sound Systems.
Endorsed by Children England and the National Youth Agency and adopted by organisations including the Scouts and Sea Cadets as well as many smaller voluntary and community organisations, the Sound Systems whole organisation approach provides a quality Kite Mark for safeguarding recognised by Councils across England.
Organisations are able to achieve the Sound Systems Accreditation quality mark by providing evidence that they have robust policies in place for:
- Codes of Conduct
- Confidentiality, Sharing Information, Whistleblowing and Complaints
- Equality and Diversity
- Youth Participation
- Health, Safety and Welfare
- Recruitment and
- Reporting Concerns, Suspicions and Allegations
The Sound Systems Accreditation requires organisations to perform robust self- and peer-assessment processes which will ensure that safeguarding standards are communicated, effective, embedded across the organisation, monitored, evaluated and young people focussed. We are able to offer pre-registration guidance, mentoring support to prepare for the Sound Systems assessment as well as performing the Sound Systems assessment itself.
Safeguarding Professional Development, Updating & Auditing
We are able to offer a range of shorter, 1-day professional development and updating courses on Safeguarding. We provide Introductory (formerly Level 1) and Targeted (formerly Level 2) Safeguarding CPD for staff and nominees working with children and 'at risk' adults.
We are also able to offer quality assessment and development for managers and leaders by facilitating quality audits of existing organisational Safeguarding policy and procedure and development of safeguarding action plans.
